Cleopatra (UK premiere)

Super rare UK quad for the 1963 premiere of Cleopatra featuring artwork by Howard Terpning for this all star British cast. This image was used for the USA and worldwide posters but was swiftly withdrawn in the UK immediately after the London premiere as it was considered too steamy for British sensibilities. It was replaced with new artwork by Chantrell for the roll out across London and the UK. The result is that this UK quad was only used for a couple of weeks before the premiere to publicise the European premiere in a single cinema so there are probably no more than a handful in existence, if that. Linen backed in superb condition.
