Clockwork Orange
Nominated for 4 oscars, Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange gained notoriety because he insisted that it was withdrawn from public viewing in the UK due to the extreme violence. As the press releases said, it was the story of a young man whose primary interests were rape and Beethoven. Note that this poster is from the short lived UK release of the film - it was only showing for six weeks - so this original country-of-origin poster is particularly rare. N.B. There are large numbers of high quality bootlegs on the UK poster. These were also manufactured at the time of release (1972) and sold in London but this is guaranteed genuine. This example is folded in excellent condition and was printed for use in the ABC cinema chain..
