Get Carter (DC advance pair)

One of the rarest pair of posters that you are ever likely to see, this is the only pair of Get Carter advances that I have ever seen or even heard of. Designed to be used together (usually on the front corners of London double decker buses) these are a pair of teaser posters for the London launch of Get Carter in 1971. Produced in very small numbers, they were pasted into position so that almost all were destroyed in use. Get Carter is one of the best gangster films of all time, it's certainly the cornerstone of Michael Caine's extremely distinguished career, with the great man proving icy, formidable and utterly unforgettable as Jack Carter. These posters are from the film's first release in the UK, both linen backed in excellent condition. There is a small amount of colour variation between the two and minor retouching where necessary but this is almost impossible to see and the posters look spectacular.
