In 1960, air travel was still the strict preserve of the very wealthy - the 'Jet Set' - and the ability to show a film en route to an exotic destination was impossibly glamorous and certainly something to shout about. This was much more than just an ad for a film, it was saying that Air France were supremely stylish showing a film about the arctic while flying above it. Aside from this, Savage Innocents was a memorable and important film for many reasons, not least because this was the most accurate depiction of Inuit culture to have come out of Hollywood to date. Bob Dylan actually wrote a song about it after seeing it. An incredibly rare UK release from 1960.
