Star Wars (Style A)

The US 30 x 40 poster with the Jung artwork is one of the rarest of the all first release Star Wars posters. Printed on cardstock for use in outside areas and drive-ins, it was expensive to make and so the print run was short. Moreover, unlike the paper one sheet, which was reprinted three times after the initial run, there were no reprints in this format. This copy displays the same characteristic cropping error on the bottom edged that is seen on the majority of this print run (the print information on the bottom border is cut in half). Few of this style survive in good condition as they were typically used outside and suffered when exposed to the elements, but this poster is in excellent rolled condition. A rare find.
