Thunderball (advance)

The first release advance poster for Thunderball featured four individual scenes by artist Robert McGinnis. Unusually, cinema owners were instructed to cut these posters into two or into four pieces to display them for greater impact so, consequently, many of them are now in this smaller format. This particular poster is now a Double Crown (DC) poster having originally been a quad advance poster that was split in two, as instructed. The upper part features the artwork that was featured in the main release quad poster, while the lower part features artwork not used in any other promotional poster in any country, so is much sought after by collectors. Folded with handling and edge wear.
