Battle Beyond the Sun (Nebo Zovyot)
With artwork by Tsarev, this is a rare country of origin poster from the first release in Russia of the Russian sci-fi classic, Nebo Zovyot. Note that Roger Corman had Francis Ford Coppola re-cut this movie and add new footage (directed by Coppola, who was billed as "Thomas Colchart") and renamed it "Battle Beyond the Sun". This was Coppola's directorial debut. For the American release, the Russian characters were given American names (to disguise the fact that it was a Russian movie at the height of the cold war), and the American posters credit "Edd Perry" and "Arla Powell" rather than Ivan Pereverzev and Aleksandr Shvorin. Linen backed with a repair to an edge chip on the left hand side.
