Battle of the River Plate (Pursuit of the Graf Spee)

Superior war movie (also released as the Pursuit of the Graf Spee in the US) from Powell and Pressburger following the final days of the German pocket battleship, the Graf Spee, trapped in Montevideo by the British. This is a UK one sheet from the first release in 1956, linen backed in excellent condition. The artwork for this poster is particularly stunning because of the stone litho printing which provides far more vivid colours than more modern offset litho presses.
