Based on Len Deighton's novel, this sequel to "The Ipcress File" features Michael Caine again as the the anti-James Bond British spy, Harry Palmer. Palmer wears thick glasses, dresses in a cheap rain-coat, has a cockney-accent, and cultivates an aura of being not too bright. Of course, he is the only one who can keep track of the double-, triple-, and quadruple crosses. Caine is pitch-perfect as Palmer, and spy stories just don't get any more bleak and cynical. A very superior movie. This poster is from the film's first release, folded as originally issued to cinemas in two sections. This poster has pinholes, tears and wear from cinema use. It also has an autograph (by the girl's head) that I cannot read. Despite all these faults, the colours are bright and the poster could be linen backed and restored to look as good as new.
