Three Lions on the shirt... Happy days. Following England's 4-2 win over Germany in 1966, the story of the world cup was released in cinemas in a feature length documentary, 'Goal! World Cup 1966'. All the TV broadcasts had been in black and white so, apart from those lucky enough to go to the final, this was the first time that fans had the opportunity to see the red shirts, the Wembly turf and the gold trophy in full colour.
