Big budget Hollywood musical from 1953 with the plotline from William Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. This is from the 2001 BFI re-release which was presented in the original 3-D format that was how the 1953 first release was launched. Appropriately it's paired with the only 3-D Bugs Bunny cartoon. Film buffs will remember that 1953 saw a wealth of 3-D films being released as this format was seen as the way of the future. The excitement was short lived and within a year or two the 3-D fad was a thing of teh past. Rolled with light handling wear only.
