One of the rarest of all the Hitchcock posters, this is the first release Belgian poster for this classic film. Any material on this early Hitchcock film is incredibly hard to find with only a handful of first release posters from anywhere in the world coming to the market in the last 20 years. This poster is from the 1930's first release in Belgium and features some of the best artwork. N.B. Hitchcock was to remake this film in 1956 with James Stewart and Doris Day but this 1934 version, with Peter Lorre, provides a fascinating glimpse into his early film making techniques, with it's expressionist influences and and atmospheric style. Linen backed in excellent condition with bright colours and minimal restoration.
