About this poster

Original Marilyn Monroe (LIFE magazine April 7 1952) (1952) movie poster. Format: Magazine (10"x14"). Grade: Fine.

The April 1952 Life Magazine featuring Marilyn Monroe on the cover was massively promoted at the time and the slightly larger Time magazine news vendor posters now fetch well over £2,000. This magazine offers the opportunity to own the same image at tiny fraction of this price. Not only this but you also get to read the article inside. Monroe appeared on the cover of Time magazine six times in her career but this image on the first cover, by Philippe Halsman, remains by far the most sought after. A genuine piece of history.
