Scott of the Antarctic

Incredibly rare 1948 first release country of origin UK half sheet for this classic British film starring John Mills as the eponymous Scott on his tragically ill-fated race to the South Pole. Almost all paper in Britain from the 1940's was pulped and recycled in the immediate post world war 2 austerity years so it's very difficult to find any movie posters from this period. This poster was rolled with a small edge chip on the lower edge prior to backing and has now been linen backed and restored.
