Original Movie Poster - Star Wars (oscars style, London Underground)
George Lucas commissioned leading UK artist Tom Chantrell to create this design, which also ran as the US style 'C' design. This particular poster was printed for the first release of the film in 1977 just after it had won a clutch of Oscars. This particular copy was trimmed down for London Underground so it measures 39"x27". Until the 1980's London Underground used the double royal size which is smaller than the quad crown size used by cinemas.
