Directed by Hiroyuki Yamaga for the Japanese Gainax studio, this is one of the most stunning anime films ever made. On a far-off planet, a Kingdom tries to launch the planet's first manned spacecraft. Although this poster is a genuine UK quad, it's very unusual in that it's actually a printer's proof with colour bars down the margin to ensure that all the colour balances are correct and there are no other technical problems. A small number of such test proofs would then be routinely filed. Needless to say, this makes this example very rare. First release in the UK, in Fine rolled condition.
