The name is Bond, James Bond' - the first Bond film starring Sean Connery and Ursula Andress and an important landmark in cinema history. This is a large format poster from the film's first release, linen backed and presenting well. Six sheets were printed in four sections and pasted up when used so they had a near 100% destruction rate during the film's first run making this a very rare survivor. Prior to linen backing restoration, it had several tears, pinholes and a number of green paint spots and drips which are still visible on close inspection. Despite this, the colours are strong with no fading, the paper was sound with no yellowing and no paper loss and the linen backer did a great job on this rare and important poster. N.B.
