Believed to be less than 10 in existence, this printer's proof of the withdrawn Revenge of the Jedi one sheet is one of the most sought after of all the Star Wars posters. Revenge of the Jedi posters were famously withdrawn when George Lucas decided to change the name of the film to Return of the Jedi. This left Lucas with a lot of surplus Revenge of the Jedi posters. The undated poster variant had already been largely pulped, because the new posters with the planned release date had already been printed, so he elected to distribute the dated style to fans at Star Wars conventions. Around 8,000 were sold this way and about 400 of the undated style are believed to have survived as well. These are all special but the printer's proof is in another league. When a poster is printed, a number of posters are retained by the printer as reference copies - usually about 15. These are uncropped with the colour bars down the sideand it is one of these uncropped proofs that we have today. It's rolled in excellent condition with superb unfaded colour and just a little very minor edge wear. I'm only aware of four having come to the market in the last forty years so this is a rare opportunity. click for more information

The US 30 x 40 poster with the Jung artwork is one of the rarest of the all first release Star Wars posters. Printed on cardstock for use in outside areas and drive-ins, it was expensive to make and so the print run was short.
