Rare title US lobby card for this 1939 classic. This was the last of the two period Sherlock Holmes movies featuring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce for Fox. The first was the box-office hit, "Hound of the Baskervilles." Rathbone and Bruce would then be picked up by Universal for a series of modern-day Sherlock Holmes stories.
