Brighton Rock (1947) - Original UK quad Movie Poster

About this poster

Original Brighton Rock (1947) movie poster. Format: UK quad 40"x30". Grade: Very Good/Fine on linen.

Incredibly rare country of origin UK quad for this landmark British film. Graham Greene wrote the screenplay for the film as well as writing the book and Richard Attenborough plays psychotic small time hoodlum Pinkie Brown. From the first release in 1947, this poster has been linen backed with restoration to the titles area and air brushing to the borders. Although the UK one sheet (used internationally rather than in the UK) appears quite regularly, the UK quad is far rarer due to the extensive paper recycling that took place alongside the rationing in post-war austerity Britain.
