Breaking the Sound Barrier
Directed by David Lean, this is an outstanding film about the human cost of progress and obsession. Richardson is great as the aviation mogul willing to pay any price for succeeding in breaking the sound barrier. This is from the 1952 first release in the USA, folded with tape repairs to the folds on the back and some retouching to the red titles around the 'B' of 'Breaking'.
