Original Movie Poster - Casino Royale (translucent light box prototype)
Super rare early lightbox poster produced in tiny numbers in acetate - we are only aware of one other copy ever coming to the market and that was badly damaged. Double sided cetate posters had been in development since the 1950's but only a handful had been printed successfully (notably Zulu and Breakfast at Tiffany's) because of the difficulty of achieving perfect registration on the front and back. Technology advances made this economic in the late 80's and we saw widespread adoption of double sided paper posters from that point. This is an early double sided poster printed on acetate, not paper. It's rolled and features the wonderful artwork by Robert McGinnis from the 1967 first film version of Casino Royale. There are a dents running down the centre of the poster but these do not detract from the overall presentation and the rest of the poster is in excellent condition with no chips and excellent colour. N.B. there is no need to display this in a lightbox and the photo on this listing was taken with standard lighting only.Casino Royale (translucent light box prototype) - Features| Features |
