Anything from Director Doris Wishman is likely to be somewhat bizarre and this is no exception. In part a serious documentary about little known and widely misunderstood aspects of transexuality, Wishman is clearly unable to resist making it in her trademark exploitation style. Dating from 1977, with a lot of the footage from an earlier film shot in 1972, this is nonetheless an important film with something to say.
